Christmas gift ideas for kids

Short, practical guides for parents, grandparents, aunts and godparents who are asking the same question every December: what to give for Christmas that the child will actually remember.

Each guide lists gifts by age or by situation rather than by shop: what suits a 5-year-old or a 10-year-old, what to do when you are out of time, when the child lives far away, when you want something unique for a kid who already has everything, or when you simply want a gift that is about them. Most of the ideas are generic categories you can find anywhere, with no affiliate links and no third-party prices. Two of the ideas are ours, and they are tagged wherever they appear.

We make Santa Cards. Two ideas on these lists are ours; the rest are not and we earn nothing from them.

Christmas gifts by age

Ideas change fast between 3 and 12. These guides list real toys, books, games and experiences for one age at a time, with typical price ranges.

For other ages, and for gifts with the child’s name on them, see personalized Christmas gifts for kids, by age (3 to 12).

Traditions and free ideas

Our two gifts

Both are a gift you can send: no parcel, no delivery slot, a link you share when you want. They are the two ideas marked “our product” inside the guides.

Quick picks by situation

The guides are written by the Santa Cards team and updated through the season. No reviews, no ratings, no invented statistics: just lists we would send to a friend who asked.
