Choose a story

Two Christmas adventures, each 25 pages long. Your child’s name is part of the title, so the covers change as you type it above. More stories are on the way.

Leo and the Great Clock of the North Pole

25 pages · English or Spanish or German or French or Portuguese or Italian or Polish

On Christmas Eve the Great Clock stops one minute before midnight, and without its twelve chimes no sleigh can take off. Armed with a torch and a curious mind, your child finds out why — and gets the clock ticking again.

Mia and the Lighthouse in the Fog

25 pages · English or Spanish or German or French or Portuguese or Italian or Polish

The thickest fog anyone remembers rolls over Port Pelican, and something is ringing round and round inside it. Only your child guesses it’s Santa’s lost sleigh — and finds a way to light the old lighthouse again.

We keep the rest of each story a surprise, so your child meets it for the first time as the hero.

Your child becomes the hero: two ways

After payment you choose the hero: upload a photo or pick one of 2 ready-made heroes. Either way, your child’s name is on the cover and in the speech balloons.

Upload one clear photo and our AI draws two cartoon versions of your child in the comic’s art style. You pick the one that looks most like them, and that hero appears on the pages where they star. The photo is used once, only to draw the hero, and we never save it.

How it works

  1. Pick a story and type the name

Choose one of the stories, type your child’s name and pick English or Spanish or German or French or Portuguese or Italian or Polish.

  2. Check the cover and pay

You see the cover with your child’s name before you pay at secure checkout. You sign in first (Apple, Google or an e-mail link), so you can always find the comic again.

  3. Choose the hero: photo or ready-made

Upload a photo and pick one of two drawings, or choose one of the 2 ready-made heroes.

  4. Watch the pages appear, then read

Pages are drawn side by side and appear as soon as they’re ready; the comic is usually ready in a few minutes. Read it as a flip-book or download the PDF.

Demo comic page in three panels: Nora meets Bruno, an old polar-bear painter, under a grey northern sky; she carries his paintbox up glittering ice stairs; then she paints green and violet light across the sky with a giant brush.

NORA! The sky lost its colors!

Leave it to me!

Bravo, NORA!

And NORA painted the sky.

A personalized comic book, not a printed one

Most personalized books for kids are printed and posted. Ours is a custom comic book you get online: a Christmas book with your child’s name in the title, made for them in minutes. Here’s what that means in practice.

Our digital comicA typical printed personalized book
DeliveryOnline, usually in a few minutesPrinted and shipped, with a December cut-off
The heroDrawn from one photo, or a ready-made heroOften an avatar built from options (hair, skin, glasses)
FormatOnline flip-book and a PDF you can printHardback or paperback
StyleA comic: panels, captions and speech balloonsUsually a picture book with text

If you want a book on the shelf and have time for shipping, a printed personalized storybook is a lovely gift. If it’s close to Christmas, the child lives far away, or you’d like them drawn from their own photo, a digital Christmas book with your child’s name fits better. You can still print the PDF at home and staple it, or take it to a print shop.

Languages: 7 to choose from

The comic comes in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian or Polish. You choose the language when you set up the comic, and the title, the captions and every speech balloon are in that language. A nice option for bilingual families, or for a gift from grandparents abroad.

Names with accents are fine (Zoë, José, Łucja), and so are hyphens and apostrophes. Emoji and symbols aren’t. Names can be up to 14 letters long, and the title on the cover adjusts to fit.

Questions about the comic book

What age is the comic for?

Children of all ages. Little ones enjoy it read aloud with a grown-up; older kids and teens read it on their own and love being the hero.

Is it a printed personalised Christmas book?

No, it’s a digital comic book. You read it online as a flip-book with page-turn animation and download it as a PDF, which you can print at home or at a print shop. We don’t ship printed copies, so there is no postage and no delivery date to worry about.

Is this a personalized Christmas story book or a comic?

Both, in a way: it’s a Christmas story told as a comic, with illustrated panels, captions and speech balloons. Your child is the hero, and their name is in the title and in the balloons. Little ones enjoy it read aloud; confident readers read it on their own.

Can I get a Christmas book with my child’s name in it?

Yes. In our Christmas comic your child’s name is in the title on the cover and in the speech balloons, and the hero is drawn from one photo of your child or picked from 2 ready-made heroes. Names with accents, such as Zoë or José, work too.

How long does it take to make?

Pages are drawn side by side and appear as soon as they’re ready, so the comic is usually ready in a few minutes. You can close the page while you wait: sign in again later and your comic is in My gifts.

Is my child’s photo stored?

No. For a comic book with your child as the hero, the photo is used once, only to draw the hero. It is sent to our AI provider Replicate, which uses an OpenAI image model, and we never save it: not in our database, file storage or logs. Replicate deletes it within 1 hour; OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. The drawings of the hero made from the photo are deleted 30 days after your comic is ready, and the comic itself is kept for 12 months or until you delete it in My gifts. You can also choose a ready-made hero, and then no photo is needed at all.

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. After payment you choose the hero: upload a photo or pick one of our 2 ready-made heroes, Leo or Mia. Your child’s name is on the cover and in the speech balloons either way.

Which languages can the comic be in?

English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian or Polish. You choose the language when you set up the comic, and the title and all the text, including the speech balloons, are in that language. Names with accents, such as Zoë, José or Łucja, are fine; emoji aren’t.

Can I change the name after I pay?

No. Your comic is created as soon as the payment is confirmed, so the name can’t be changed afterwards. Check the cover preview before you pay; until then you can go back and change the details. If the finished comic shows a different name from the one you entered, that’s a technical fault and we fix it.

How do I open the comic again later?

Comics are bought while signed in (Apple, Google or an e-mail link), and that account is how you get back to yours. Sign in with the same account and open My gifts. We keep the comic for 12 months after it’s ready, so download the PDF if you want to keep it longer.

What does it cost?

The comic book isn’t available on the web yet. We’ll show the price on this page when it is.

What if something goes wrong?

If your comic has a technical fault, such as a missing or broken page, unreadable text or a wrong name, contact us and we’ll fix it or create it again. The hero is a stylized illustration, so a drawing that doesn’t look exactly like your child isn’t a technical fault; that’s why you pick between two versions first.
